I have just left wetcanvas a site which I have used for serveral years. The reason for leaving is that they arbitraily censored several pieces in the SIFI forum which aparently upset one of their prudish moniters. the pieces all involved sexual matter, nothing pornagraphic but a new moniter has decided it was not fit. This particular forum which had only my work had over 1,100 hits since I started it several months ago and was still going strong. When this prude decided to intervine. Most of the forums are part art work and mostly KuDoos and pats on the back plus a little bit of art. Mine was all art except for two messages and my reply on the site.
I don't know this woman moniter but can imagine she is a anal rententive holy roller who thinks art is pretty flowers, a portrait, and a landscape copied out of a magazine. So be it I am glad not to be sharing the same space where this type exsist.

I find my self being bored with art that is copied from nature or photos. Recently I have been fascinated with the art of author Clive Baker. I enjoy art by artist who use their imagination and strive to bring the world something new and different. I do enjoy works by Edward Hooper although his works were realistic his subject matter and composition was imaginative and evoked a feeling of lonelyness. I truly believe we all are alone wther we are married, with a partner we are going to leave this world as we come in with nothing and alone why not use what talents or ability we have to create and mabey we will leave something to the others who survive us.
